SleepOS Privacy Policy
**Effective date: October 2, 2026**
This policy explains how SleepOS handles information when you use the SleepOS
mobile application.
## Information stored on your device
SleepOS stores app data locally on your device, including sleep-session details,
check-in and reflection answers, notes, worry entries, reminder schedules,
program and habit settings, and app preferences. Worry reminders are scheduled
on the device and may display the reminder text you entered.
This locally stored wellness information is not uploaded to SleepOS servers by
the current app implementation. It may be included in device backups according
to your operating-system settings. Uninstalling the app or clearing its local
data removes the app's local copy.
## Information processed by Firebase
When you create or use an account, Firebase Authentication processes account
identifiers such as your email address and Firebase user ID, and authentication
provider information needed to sign you in. SleepOS records login timestamps.
If you complete onboarding, SleepOS stores your selected answers, program
phase, score, and completion timestamp in Firebase Cloud Firestore.
For subscriptions, SleepOS stores account-linked subscription metadata in
Firestore, which may include your email address, selected plan, store,
subscription product identifier, purchase date, premium status, and the date of
the last subscription check. Apple App Store or Google Play processes your
payment. SleepOS does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Firebase is provided by Google. Google may process this information as a
service provider under its applicable terms and privacy documentation.
## How information is used
SleepOS uses account and onboarding information to provide sign-in, save
onboarding progress, and manage subscription access. Locally stored wellness
information is used to provide the app's sleep planning, journaling, check-in,
and reminder features.
SleepOS does not use this information for targeted advertising. The current app
implementation does not send sleep-session entries, check-in answers, or worry
notes to SleepOS's Firestore collections.
## Notifications and audio
If you allow notifications, SleepOS can schedule reminders on your device.
Notification permission can be changed in your device settings. Audio content
in SleepOS is played for you; the current app implementation does not upload
audio recordings to SleepOS.
## Sharing and international processing
SleepOS shares account and subscription metadata with Google Firebase as
necessary to operate account and subscription features. Payment details are
handled by Apple or Google through their respective stores. SleepOS does not
sell personal information.
Firebase infrastructure may process information in countries other than your
own, subject to Google's applicable safeguards and terms.
## Retention and deletion requests
Account and subscription records are retained while needed to provide the
service and meet applicable legal requirements. To request deletion of your
SleepOS account and associated Firebase profile and subscription records, email

email address. Some transaction records may continue to be held by Apple or
Google under their own retention practices and legal obligations.
Locally stored app data can be removed by clearing SleepOS's app data or
uninstalling the app. Signing out does not itself delete local app data.
## Children's privacy
SleepOS is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13.
## Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when SleepOS's data practices change. The updated
policy and effective date will be published at the SleepOS privacy-policy URL.
